Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani affirmed that the war must stop immediately and that all attacks must cease at once. He noted that the State of Qatar had made sincere efforts to prevent a war against Iran, but was surprised to find itself accused instead of Iran.

The Qatari foreign minister added that his country regards diplomacy as both the first and last means of resolving conflicts, urging the restoration of trust that has been eroded by Iran’s hostile behavior toward the region’s countries. He noted that while the war began with Israel, it was Iran that chose a course of hostility toward its neighbors.
He also emphasized that Iran’s attacks on the countries of the region only serve to expand the circle of conflict and weaken the region’s stability.
