U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Thursday that there is no set timeframe for ending the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran, which has been ongoing for three weeks. Hegseth told reporters, “We don’t want to set a specific timetable,” adding that things are on the right track and that President Donald Trump will decide when the war will come to an end. He continued, “The final decision will be in the hands of the president when he says: We’ve achieved what we needed to.”

And for his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said: “We used only a small fraction of our power in our response to the Israeli attack on our infrastructure. The sole reason for our restraint is out of respect for the call for de-escalation.”
Adding, “We will not show any restraint whatsoever if our infrastructure is attacked again… any end to this war must address the damage inflicted on our civilian sites.”
